    T.V. Land

So I am really getting into the "Six Feet Under" series on HBO.  Well it was on HBO, it had its run from 2001-2005 I believe, and it was 'On Demand' so I'd watched the first season over the last few weeks...  Even though it is an old HBO weekly series, it feels like each episode is a short film.  But now I want to see the 2nd season because it is so damn good!  To no avail, I have searched madly the HBO On Demand schedules and I don't see Six Feet Under anywhere...  WHATS A GRRRL TO DO I ASK YOU?!?  I suppose it was a tease, to make us buy the series' on DVD...  I tried Netflix but they only send them one disc at a time, can you believe that sh*t?  So off to Ebay Land I go to see if I can score the 2nd season for a fairly reasonable price.

The show is about a family owned funeral home, for the Fisher family, the world outside of their funeral business continues to be at least as challenging as (and far less predictable than) the one inside...  The first season formula has each episode opening with a death, either natural or not, and we watch with fascination as it affects the survivors and moves along the storyline of the Fisher family, their co-workers, friends, and lovers.  The Mother Ruth, eldest Brother Nate, middle Brother David, and youngest Daughter Claire make this study in complicated family dynamics a must see as they deal with each other and others gently one moment and harshly the next.  These people are real.  No one is all bad or all good.  They have good intentions but are filled with human frailities.  You can like these people because you understand why they act the way they do even when you don't particularly like what they are doing or saying.  The writing in this series is brilliant and the actors do every scene full justice.  My favorite character is Nate Fisher played by Peter Krause, because a lot of his fears are simalar to mine and he has a lot of relatable qualities to just about anyone.  Much props to Michael C. Hall, who plays David Fisher, for the excellent way he says so much with his movements as well as his words.  And Frances Conroy, who plays Ruth, she's the epitome of a woman who just wants and has to feel needed and is afraid that the day is coming when she won't be needed anymore. This series is among the best of the HBO stable and should not be missed if you are looking for people to care about.

    The Freud Test

    Hmmmm...
If you want your own Freudian analysis:

What Would Freud Say About You?

Amber, Freud would say your personality is most affected by events that happened when you were between a year and a half and three years old. Relative to others, your personality today is moderately affected by the events of your childhood. This manifests itself in surprising ways. For example, you have a tendency to be especially orderly or clean. Compared to others, you may also harbor a strong rebellious streak.

    My "Panty Personality"

    Amber, you're a Hipster

That's right, funny girl, you know how to use your quick wit and wise cracks to work a room, a party, or even that cute guy you've been eyeing. So even if you've never donned some super silly and sexy hipsters, these hot undies match your sweet and fun-loving personality.

It's easy to see why a great girl like you is so popular. Your charm and style help you wade through tough situations and glide through good ones. And you'll do it all with a smile on your face. What could be sweeter?

So apparently this is my "Panty Personality" and though I can agree with most of what it says, I must say that I am glad I was not a "Granny Panty!"  Want to know what Panty Personality you are?

    Tickle Test - Shhh...

Ok, so I get these every so often in my email and most of the time, I chuck 'em...  This one however, caught my curiosity at the moment for whatever reason.  So I decided I would take it to see what my "diagnosis" would be...  At first, I thought, "Really?"  But soon came to realize, yep, mi familia es muy importante so of course it would have to do with them...  If you want to also take this test:

    What is Your Buried Secret

    MySpace Layouts

Amber, you keep secrets about your Family

Whose family isn't a little dysfunctional? Just the same, you're not gonna write the next great American novel about your family's crazy arguments and weird habits. No one needs to know about Aunt Bertha's obsession with dolphin tchotchkes or Grandpa's affection for highballs.

For you, family gossip is best left alone. It's important to keep those dirty little secrets to yourself. You've got a great respect and love for your kin, even if they don't always act the way you want them to. As long as you know the truth about what's going on in your seemingly happy home, who cares what the neighbors say? Sticking by each other — now that's what family's for!

    My Latest Tickle Test...

...I love to take these silly lil tests here and there when I have a sec, so here is my latest test and also the results:

    AMBER, YOUR CELEBRITY MATCH IS:

    DYLAN McDERMOTT

Order in the court! Yeah, we mean you. We know it's exciting that Practice hottie Dylan McDermott is your celebrity match, but for heaven's sake, calm down. After all, the TV lawyer may be tall, dark, handsome, smart, suave... Actually, on second thought, woo hoo! Celebrate all you want; this brainy babe (and ex-fiancé of Julia Roberts) is exactly the right kind of guy for you — you love men who sweep you off your feet with their words, not just their biceps. We can just picture the two of you on a date: candlelight, a vintage wine, a deep discussion about literature or foreign film. Definitely swoon-worthy. He may be married (and a daddy!) in real life, but in the TV show in your head, we the jury find that this bright East Coast hunk is all yours.

...This is too funny because everyone knows that I loved that show, "The Practice" and Tooty you knew I always had a thing for Mr. McDermott!  Especially after I saw him in the movie "Home For The Holidays." That is one of my faves and I like fell in love with his character & if you'd ask me why, I don't think I could tell you just exactly why...  Check it out if you haven't seen it, it's worth a watch.  Also if ya want to take this test yourself to see who your celeb match is then click on the link below...
